About the Role
Google is looking for an Insights Specialist who can bridge the gap between business objectives and technical solutions. In this role, you will work directly with Google’s largest advertising clients and product partners, acting as both a consultant and a technical problem solver.
As part of the gTech Ads Solutions team, you will:
- Drive insights-based narratives using complex datasets.
- Partner with Sales, Analytical Consultants, and Industry Managers to create research-driven strategies.
- Support clients in leveraging Google’s advertising platforms effectively.
This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, client-facing skills, and storytelling abilities to transform data into actionable insights that influence decision-making at scale.
Minimum Qualifications
To apply, you must meet the following basic requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
- Prior experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering, or technical consulting.
- Hands-on expertise with SQL, dashboard building, data collection/transformation, and visualization.
- Proficiency in a scripting/programming language such as Python.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following will give you an advantage:
- Experience in a client-facing data analytics role and presenting narratives to senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency with analytical/narrative tools such as Spreadsheets, Presentation software, Tableau, and Data Studio.
- Familiarity with Google’s datasets and tools.
- Knowledge of R, Python, SQL, database management systems, and workflow management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while implementing advanced technical and analytical solutions.
- Motivation to understand customer business objectives and provide data-driven recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
As an Insights Specialist, your work will include:
- Partnering with Sales & Clients
- Collaborate with Sales teams, Analytical Consultants, Industry Managers, and Engagement Managers.
- Develop compelling, research-based insights and narratives to improve Google’s ability to sell tailored media solutions.
- Data Analysis & Storytelling
- Analyze large and complex datasets to generate strategic insights.
- Translate data into clear, compelling storylines that drive client business objectives.
- Use measurement and insight tools to strengthen proposals and presentations.
- Simplification & Communication
- Simplify complex concepts into digestible insights for clients and stakeholders.
- Provide strategic input and thought leadership based on market and customer data.
- Building Analytical Solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain robust analytical tools and solutions.
- Ensure these solutions are scalable and adaptable across different markets and industries.
