As a Software Engineer (Campus Hire 2026), you will design and develop software for Qualcomm’s advanced mobile chipsets, working with cutting-edge technologies in multimedia, wireless communication, IoT, and embedded platforms.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will:

• Develop real-time embedded software and device drivers.
• Contribute to mobile software development for Windows Mobile, Android, or Linux.
• Design and implement solutions with strong knowledge of operating systems, data structures, and object-oriented design.
• Work on multimedia technologies including audio, video, and imaging.
• Develop wireless modem and connectivity software, firmware, and protocol stacks (4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE, CDMA, GSM, UMTS).
• Contribute to platform-level software such as Linux, Android, Windows, and Board Support Packages (BSP).
• Participate in IoT-related software development for connected devices like smart assistants, drones, and AR/VR applications.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, Communication Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in C / C++ with knowledge of object-oriented design.
• Good understanding of operating systems concepts, data structures, and networking protocols (TCP/UDP/IP/SIP/RTP).
• Exposure to Linux/Unix, kernel development, and device driver programming.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Areas of Expertise

Candidates with interest or experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

• Development for Android or Windows Mobile embedded platforms.
• Multimedia software stack, firmware, and driver development.
