This internship provides hands-on exposure to enterprise systems, operating systems, troubleshooting, and customer-impacting technical challenges.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist support engineers in diagnosing IBM i (AS/400) software, application, and system tool issues.
- Collect logs, metrics, and case-related data for support analysis.
- Provide basic troubleshooting under supervision.
- Escalate complex issues to senior support engineers.
- Maintain and update internal knowledge base documentation.
- Participate in technical training and learning sessions.
- Work with command-line tools, DB2 databases, and IBM support utilities.
- Handle real customer-impacting system issues.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of operating systems, computer architecture, and networking.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Logical problem-solving ability.
- Willingness to learn enterprise-level technologies.
Good to Have (Preferred Skills)
- Familiarity with IBM i, RPG, CL, or DB2.
- Understanding of CRM or helpdesk systems.
- Background in CS, IT, IS, or related fields.
- Fast-learning mindset and technical curiosity.
