Key Responsibilities
- Write, test, and debug clean and efficient Java code for new features and enhancements under supervision.
- Assist in identifying and resolving software defects and issues.
- Participate in unit testing and support integration testing.
- Actively learn new technologies, tools, and best practices from senior developers.
- Collaborate with team members including developers, QA, and product owners.
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Learn from and contribute to code reviews.
- Provide support for existing applications as required.
Eligibility Criteria
Required
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years in Java development OR strong academic project experience.
- Foundational understanding of Java, OOP concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
- Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Good communication skills and eagerness to learn.
Preferred
- Familiarity with AI-powered code generation tools (GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, Anthropic Claude, etc.).
- Exposure to Spring Framework (Spring Boot).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Maven/Gradle build tools.
- Knowledge of JUnit or unit testing frameworks.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or Docker.
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
