Position Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and adaptable Associate Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru, India. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals at the start of their software development career to work on fast-paced projects that span multiple layers of the Q2 platform.
You will:
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, implement, and support custom solutions.
- Engage in hands-on development across both Windows and Linux-based systems.
- Work within a service-oriented architecture environment.
- Develop solutions that directly impact our clients’ digital banking experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Software Design & Development:
- Develop, integrate, and test moderately complex software solutions.
- Work on both front-end and back-end components interacting with end users and integrating with internal/external services.
- Deployment & Support:
- Deliver solutions for live production systems.
- Support and maintain custom features in production.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency support when necessary.
- Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Assist teammates with technical challenges.
- Share best practices and promote high-quality development standards.
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience: 0–2 years in software development with a relevant degree.
- Technical Skills:
- Programming: Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Web Development: Hands-on experience in building web applications.
- Understanding of service-oriented architecture.
- Familiarity with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt in an Agile development environment.
- Other Requirements:
- Availability for flexible hours when necessary (deadlines/off-hours installations).
- Fluent written and spoken English.
